What to decide, in order
- Name each state explicitly. In production, in transit, in inspection, released, reserved and quarantined are different positions on purpose.
- Decide which states count as available. The store, the account team and the warehouse should use the same definition of available, written down once.
- Show the state on the product page. A single total hides the reason an order cannot ship today.
